I'd like to propose extending our public library hours on weekends from 5pm to 8pm. Many working families can't make it during current hours. This would greatly benefit students and professionals who need access to resources after work hours.

I completely agree! My kids need to use the library after school but it closes too early on weekends.
Great idea. Have you considered reaching out to the library board directly?
I already emailed them last week. They said they'd review it in the next meeting.
